What is this Scale in Music ?
Scales are just a combination of 8 notes SA RE GA MA PA DHA NI SA in which the last note is the same as the first note . And thats all you should know for the theoretical part. No body will ask you to define scale when you are sitting in front of him and having a guitar in your hand. So no worries. But to be frank to you scales is an important part of learning music .All songs have skeleton in the form of scale .So the information given below will be useful to you someday or other.So have a look at it.
Basically scales are of two types as discussed below--
Major scales -
In western countries the following alphabets are used for musical notations -

If the Scale start with the C note of the fret board then the scale will be known as C major Scale and similarl case with the other scales.
- C major scale -Open position
- -Close position
- C# scale ( read it as C sharp) also known as Db (read it Dflat)
- D major scale D # scale/ E b scale
- E major scale
- F major scale F # scale / G b scale
- G major scale G # scale / A b scale
Minor scales -
